25th Anniversary Celebration & 2015 Annual Meeting
September 18 & 19, Louisville, Kentucky

About 75 CFA members and guests gathered in Louisville, Kentucky, for the 2015 Annual Meeting and 25th Anniversary Celebration. The visiting and sharing all day Friday and part of Saturday seemed to be successful, and attendees also enjoyed researching in the CFA Jim Reeves Library and the collection of books brought to the meeting by CFA Genealogy Panel Deputy Chairman Barry Jernigan. Dick Chandler was available online via Skype from British Columbia for consultation about lineages and DNA, and the CFA Lineages Database (CFALD) was available to the members.

CFA officers who spoke during the Business Meeting were, from left, President Jim Light, Vice President and Chaplain Charles H. Chandler, Secretary/Treasurer and Membership Chairman Helen Chandler, Newsletter Editor and Webmaster Claudia Chandler Brocato, and Vice President and Chapter 3 Research Director Vicki Chandler Watson. Not shown is Dick Chandler, who gave a presentation via Skype. Photos courtesy of Joan Chandler Knowles.

The Business Meeting agenda included ratification of the election of officers for the 2015-17 term, reports by several officers, including a report on progress in our research and DNA outreach by Dick Chandler via Skype.

CFA member Sybil Chandler (at left) was recognized by President Jim Light for reaching her 100th birthday. Sybil was escorted to the meeting by son and daughter-in-law Kirk and Bev Chandler of Sevierville, Tennessee.

It was announced that the 2016 meeting will be in Greenville, South Carolina.

A more complete report from the meeting will be in our 2015 Autumn Newsletter.
